  • to provide opportunities for Intra-African mobilities to train climate conscious postgraduate students across disciplines to become climate responsive.
  • provide hands-on training and experience through specialised courses on cutting-edge digital technology and tools for detection and monitoring of plant species dynamics and biodiversity.
  • to engender climate change preparedness and responsiveness by integrating climate education in the curricula of five higher education institutions (HEIs) in Africa by adjusting existing curricula along with new academic programmes
  • to usher into in and buttress green career pathways for the students by partnering with business in green industries, governments and environmental organisations
  • to establish mentorship programmes with experienced professionals and provide networking events, conferences, and webinars to connect IMPACT-ED participants and beneficiaries with key stakeholders in the green economy.

Activities in the IMPACT-ED consortium are run by five partnering African universities: University of Namibia (Namibia), Kibabii University (Kenya), Kyambogo University (Uganda), University of Eswatini (Eswatini), and University of Nigeria Nsukka (Nigeria), and supported by EU technical Partner, University of Turku (Finland).
