Kyambogo University, Uganda (KyU)
Kyambogo University is one of Uganda’s largest public universities, located in Kampala and formally established in 2003 through the merger of Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo, the Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo, and the Uganda National Institute of Special Education. The University’s mission is to advance knowledge and develop scientific, technological, educational, and professional competencies that contribute to societal transformation.
KYU comprises several faculties and schools, including Engineering, Science, Special Needs and Rehabilitation, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education, serving over 33,000 students. The University maintains a strong commitment to research, innovation, and capacity building, supported by active national and international partnerships that promote academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
